Help - During the First Lesson
先生が最初の授業または授業中に使うかもしれない文章です。
During the first lesson (especially with a very low student) there are things you may want say in certain terms in order to reassure the student of your teaching ability and to fully explain things. Below is a list of potentially helpful phrases for the first time with a new student. If you can think of something else let us know.

Settling in
This is the classroom/bathroom. こちらは教室／お手洗いです
Kochira wa kyoshitsu/otearai desu.
Please sit here. ここに座ってください。
Koko ni suwatte kudasai.
Please sit anywhere you'd like. どこでも好きなところに座ってください。
Dokodemo suki na tokoro ni suwatte kudasai.
Would you like a drink? 何か飲みたいですか。
Nanika nomitai desu ka?

During the Lesson / レッスン中
Open your book to page 20. 本の20ページを開いてください。
Hon no ni-ju peiji o hiraite kudasai.
Turn to the next page. 次のページを開いてください。
Tsugi no peiji o hiraite kudasai.
Good job. よくできました。
Yoku dekimashita.
Please repeat. 繰り返してください。
Kurikaeshite kudasai.
Try to say that again. もう一度言ってみてください。
Mo ichi do itte mite kudasai.

Stating Your Protocol / レッスンのルール
You can email/call me anytime いつでもe-メール／電話して下さい。
itsudemo email/denwa shite kudasai.
If I'm not home please leave a message もし家にいなかったら留守デンにメッセージを残して下さい。
Moshi ie ni inakattara rusuden ni messegi o nokoshite kudasai.
Same day cancellations are not refunded 当日中止すると授業料は返せないです。
Toujitsu chushi suru to jugyou ryo wa kaesenai desu.

Ending the Lesson / レッスンの終わりに
We'll stop the lesson here これで終わります。
Kore de owarimasu.
When would you like to study again? 次のレッスンはいつがいいですか。
Tsugi no resun wa itsu ga ii desu ka.
Can you remember the way to get here? ここまでの道はおぼえられますか。
Koko made no michi wa oboeraremasuka.
If you forget how to come here call me and I'll go meet you again ここまでの道を忘れてしまったら、電話をしてください。私がもう一度迎えに行きます
Koko made no michi o wasurete shimattara denwa o shitekudasai. Watashi ga mouichido mukae ni yukimasu
Today's lesson is 3500 yen 今日のレッスンは3500円です。
Kyo no resun wa san-zen go-hyaku en desu.
If you want to change your lesson please contact me by the day before 授業を変更したかったら、前の日までに連絡してください。
jugyou o henko shitakattara, mae no hi made ni renraku shite kudasai.

Other help
When you go to meet the student for the first time bring the students cellular phone number (if available) so you can contact them if they aren't waiting in the agreed upon meeting place.
